Through These Halls
(Recollections of a Grand Old School)
Compiled by Jim Black
Built in 1926, the three-story red-brick school building located at 600 South Ash Street in Archer City, Texas, stood for eighty-nine years before being torn down to make room for a new school. The memories of those who walked its halls are innumerable, and many of them appear here for all to enjoy. This special compilation of amusing and touching remembrances paints an unforgettable portrait of the historic old building whose presence touched the lives of so many in this small Texas town.
